Why Do You Make Camp Horizon a Priority?

The Hamilton family has a deep connection to Camp Horizon! Summers are always a busy time for us, but we always made camp a priority, the girls needed that time to connect with other youth in a safe and caring environment. Learning and experiencing the word of God.  The tradition of spending summers there and the strong bonds formed with other campers and counselors are truly special. It's always wonderful to hear that the girls enjoy their time there so much and that they eagerly anticipate each summer at camp. Kinsley is enthusiastic about becoming a counselor in the future. Camp experiences often provide lifelong memories and friendships that endure beyond the summer months. Camp Horizon will forever be their Happy Place and a second home.

- Susan Hamilton, Mother of 3

The Hamilton girls have always juggled many commitments in the summer. With the help of their parents, they were able to make coming to camp each summer a priority. All three girls have also blessed our summer staff over the years. Kailie served as our Summer Health Aide in 2019, Katie was a Junior Counselor in 2019, and Summer Staff from 2021-2022, She also served year-round as an intern from 2020-2023. Kinsley is following suit as a Junior Counselor in 2023 & 2024. Your children get 12 school summers, they will be filled with the experiences your family makes a priority. We encourage you to make spending a week at summer camp one of them.
