Location: Camp Horizon – Arkansas City, Kansas
Pay: Starting at $14 per hour
Schedule: Seasonal: June & July (approx. 24 hours/week)

Camp Horizon is looking for reliable, enthusiastic Camp Cooks to help fuel our campers, retreat groups, and staff with great food and a welcoming spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or someone who simply enjoys preparing meals for groups, this is a meaningful and fun way to be part of camp life.

Food is a big part of the Camp Horizon experience—meals bring people together, build community, and create memories. Our cooks play a key role in that mission.

🥗 What You’ll Do

Prepare and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals for campers, staff, and retreat groups
Help with meal prep, service, and clean-up
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
Assist with basic food storage, rotation, and inventory
Work as part of a supportive kitchen team to keep meals running smoothly
Accommodate basic dietary needs as directed

👩‍🍳 Who We’re Looking For

Enjoys cooking and working with a team
Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
Prior cooking or food service experience is helpful, but not required

📅 Schedule Details

Seasonal Position: June & July
Average Hours: About 24 hours per week
Additional Opportunity: Year-round cooking shifts available for retreats and events primarily weekends
