The mission of Camp Horizon is to provide a natural setting where people can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and experience the love of God.

At Camp Horizon, we are a Christian camp rooted in the tradition of the United Methodist Church—but our doors are open to everyone. Whether you come from a church background or not, whether you’re part of a congregation, a family, or an individual seeking connection, you are welcome here.

A Place for Everyone

Since 1947, Camp Horizon has been a place where lives are changed through simple but powerful experiences—time in nature, authentic community, and space to reflect and grow.

We invite you to be part of what’s happening here in whatever way fits you best:

  • Attend summer camp (2nd–12th grade)

  • Bring your group for a retreat

  • Volunteer your time and gifts

  • Explore, serve, or simply step away and rest

As part of the Great Plains United Methodist camping ministry, we are connected to a broader mission of sharing God’s love. At the same time, we believe that God’s love is for all people—and Camp Horizon is a place where that love can be experienced without barriers.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to come from a specific church. You simply have to show up.
